Q&A with Huimin.Gong

Andrea Kelter asked:
I love evereything about your quilt! Particularly the way the colours wash across it - the subtlety of shading it creates is just spectacular. May I ask what kind of machine you quilted it on?
Huimin.Gong answered:
Thanks Andrea. I use a Elna 740, a domestic quilting machine :-)
Scheri Manson asked:
Anita will be so proud. Your quilt is so beautiful. I hope to start on my arrowhead in Februray 2014. I could only wish for half your success and be satisfied.
Huimin.Gong answered:
Thanks Scheri, no doubt that you will make a beautiful arrowhead quilt , as your other projects :-)
Anita Grossman Solomon asked:
Oh my Huimin, thank you for posting so many views of your quilt. I am smitten. You make me want to dig out my oldest Yuwa fabric that I bought years ago from Gail Kessler's shop if only to pet it. You have a knack for combining many fabrics into what is destined to be a family heirloom
Huimin.Gong answered:
Dear Anita, thank you very much for the class, which inspired me to use the fabrics. I bought them 2years ago when I started to quilt, but did not know how to use. Now I am glad having them as a quilt :-)
Scheri Manson asked:
Back again. What kind of batting did you use? It has a great loft. Did you do quilting? domestic or long arm?
Huimin.Gong answered:
The cotton batting by Warm & Natural was used. I have only a domestic machine, so I quilted continusous quarter circle in the lighter part of each block :-)
