Chainsaw quilt top finished

Project Description

What are you most proud of? That this quilt is finished after having my machine in the shop for 2 1/2 months. This is the first time I have used a professional long armer to quilt any of my quilts and I am really pleased with the results. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Cut and measure carefully and make sure your rotations are correct - follow Kimberly's advice and don't chain piece.

What you will need

  • Made from a layer cake and a jelly roll

Thanks Jean - this one has been a labour of love for my cousin especially now her mother just passed away - I am so glad that I got it professionally quilted.
Sylvie LC asked:
Beth, this is fantastic ! What a great job! , so far I did not do anything from Kmberly's class, you gave me inspiration to try it. Your colors are always well chosen and your work impeccable and precise. Your cousin, I am sure, was so happy to receive this nice present of love. Continue, you are so good at it. Too bad you are too far away, it would be so nice to sew with you.....
Beth245 answered:
Hi Sylvie - It would be terrific to have a sewing buddy - thank you for your comments - I like doing different combinations of colours to suit my friends tastes - figure they will have them for a while. I love your work too and look forward to seeing which quilt you try first - you can do it - I know you can.
