Chain Saw Quilt

Project Description

What are you most proud of? I love the way it has all come together even though there are directional fabrics in the series. The sawtooth border was also a lot of fun to create. I am currently working on using the rest of the leftover fabric for the back, but as i work full time, this could take a while before i have it ready for quilting. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Jump in and Enjoy!!!!

What you will need

  • I used Moda's "Mama Said Sew" range. My intention was to make something masculine for my 25 year old son. I feel i have been able to achieve this by using the combination of the colours in the fabric along with the "buzz saw" design of the blocks. I have now quilted and bound my quilt. I had so much extra fabric I was able to use scraps for the backing and to make a large piped cushion.
