What are you most proud of? This is my 2nd attempt. The first ended up a rescue project when I not only got 3 of 4 segments in the wrong orientation but the design in my head didn't translate with the fabric I wanted to use. This time around all went well . I especially like the resting strip and the sawtooth border - firsts for me. This will be a practice quilt for FMQ. I'll back it with the background fabric with a few pintwheels. The binding will be the same fabric as the resting strip. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Orientation, orientation, orientation. And be sure to select contrasting pairs with differing scale when selecting your fabrics for the 10" squares. If you need to you can fudge the border a bit by sewing a few seams between the HSTs a bit wider. Just space them out and you'll never notice it once its done.
