Cali's Pink Ladybug Quilt

What are you most proud of? The back of the quilt is what I am most proud of. I miscalculated buying the fabric for the quilt back and if it wasn't for this class I would have put the quilt away in the cupboard. I was able to use left over squares to widen my quilt width and was able to complete my project.

Q&A with sherri09

L. Homer asked:
I love the colours they are so well matched. What size is this quilt, it seems large for a cot although it is difficult to judge just by the picture. lovely work, well done.
sherri09 answered:
Thank you:) It was for my nephews baby girl on her first birthday. Finished size 50x50
L. Homer asked:
Thank you for replying. Baby quilts seem to be all different in size and makes me unable to make up my mind which size to do. 50/50 or 36/50 seems to be the sizes I`m looking for.
sherri09 answered:
I usually don't have a true size in mind when making a quilt I am designing. I just begin and stop when I feel it has the colors I want and looks how I envisioned it in my head. I know that this can be a haphazard way to sew. As I start to creat I draw it out on grid paper and then start sewing. The piece speaks to me and I know if I am finished or if it still needs another piece added. I know that might sound crazy but that's how I sew. I feel as if I am in another world when I sew. It's peaceful and tranquil. It's my happy place:)
