Bunnies on watch pram quilt

Project Description

What was your source for this quilting project? Online Photo or Website Name of website or photo Bunnies on Watch applique template Link to website or photo What are you most proud of? Errm... not proud as such, I'm simply hoping Anika and Marcie both like it! The bunnies will be watching over Marcie with love... What advice would you give someone starting this project? If you want to be able to wash an item made in felt - please use 100% wool felt. I know 100% is more expensive - but I've tried washing blends and they just don't like water! Take your time doing the binding of the edges - I ended up hand stitching it on the reverse so it's not visible - so it does take a bit longer, but I think it's worth it for a special gift.

What you will need

  • LInen for the front and back of the quilt. Strips of the linen to double bind the edges so it's hard wearing. Felt wadding for the inside so it's all natural materials :) inside and out... White 100% wool felt for the bunnies and 100% red wool felt for the heart - all attached using no-sew iron-on adhesive (Bondaweb or Heat n Bond). The bunnies eyes were made from black cotton fabric with a dab of white fabric paint (this can be heat set with an iron - yippee!). Red cotton to quilt hearts (on the reverse of the quilt).
