Brothers Blue Jeans

You Can Make This

Lori Miller made Brothers Blue Jeans with:

Craftsy Block of the Month 2013

Online Class

Craftsy Block of the Month 2013

with Laura Nownes

  • The quilt was a BOM from Laura Nowns class
  • and the free motion quilting is from a class by Leah Day. I upcyled blue jeans and used flannel on the back of the quilt. I also used a heavier varigated thread in order to show more of the FMQ.

Q&A with Lori Miller

Ramy asked:
Beautiful! This just goes to show what can be done with creative ideas. This is something of which one would never tire. Enjoy!
Lori Miller answered:
Thank you, and I do know what you mean about the creative ideas. I have way too many in my thoughts, but I hope to accomplish a lot of them.
KrissBJoyful asked:
Fantastic idea! What size is your quilt & is it heavy? What a clever way to show off your FMQ!
Lori Miller answered:
The quilt was 60X80 inches, and the weight was almost 7 pounds when I shipped it. It's not real heavy to sleep under, and boy does it ever keep you warm. I slept under it for 1 night before I shipped it to my brother. I really had fun making it but more so with the fmq.
