Boutis - French Quilting

Project Description

What was your source for this quilting project? Other Tell us more about what inspired you. I found a Boutis book, and fell in love What are you most proud of? Boutis is a French quilting method, but originated in East Asia. Due to trade and more leisure time available to the French country women in Marseille, the French women popularized this method in the West. I marveled at how women could beautify and elevate simple materials into a high art, the entire time I was meticulously slaving over this business card holder.
