Project Description

What are you most proud of? Everyone who has seen this project is wondering why no-one had thought of it before. These are long lasting and they are pretty. Just a small gift to put a smile on people's faces that they can use. Because it is only small friends don't feel obligated to do anything in return which is good. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Just sit and have a fiddle. It is a project that can be fulfilling in between other things. Christmas is just around the corner - these are whipped up very quickly. Excellent gift for children's teachers or small gifts for stocking fillers. Just don't forget to take it out of the book when you have finished reading it - I did that and the book went back to the library!

What you will need

  • Scraps of cotton from other projects.

Q&A with Tandunn

ltrow36 asked:
What is the finished size of these?
Tandunn answered:
They can be any size you want them to be. I try to make them roughly the size of a normal bookmark (but what size is a normal bookmark). There are no rules - only your rules.. The pink one was supposed to be something else but it went wrong so I folded it half and it turned into a bookmark! Just have a fiddle and enjoy!
Krafty Mama asked:
This is the perfect project for kids! Quick and easy enough to hold their attention but creative enough to help them feel totally fulfilled!! My 11 yr. old is going to do these at her next sleepover. Can't wait to post the results! Thank you
Tandunn answered:
You are most welcome! I hope they have a great time at the sleep-over! :)
Juliecb asked:
Where are the directions?
Tandunn answered:
All you need is imagination. Just sew scraps together, make a pattern or do them randomly, Make it the size of a regular bookmark. YOU decide the pattern and the size.
Lillibet asked:
Will be making alot of these for Christmas and other happy occasions. I had a "duh" moment. Why had I never thought of these? Thanks
Tandunn answered:
Hahaha, I can't believe no one had thought of this before. Love sharing, I have been looking at all the other clever crafters in this website too.
