Project

BOM

Project Description

What are you most proud of? The way the fabric blend with each design block. Also the choice of the layout and border. What advice would you give someone starting this project? You can always change things up and don't have to follow a pattern design, but make your own changes to it.

What you will need

  • Stash on hand

Q&A with jfriel

Pam NZ asked:
This combo is rather elegant... so different from your second one, but looks so right with these blocks! Clever you!
jfriel answered:
Well when I started I was doing one block black & white and one colored. That all worked until I wanted to put them all together. Each block got it's own personally and the black & white and Blue & black just seem to lend themselves to each other.
patz in suffolk asked:
Gorgeous! I love the colours and the way your sashing pulls the whole thing together. Looking forward to seeing your other throw!
jfriel answered:
Thank you so much
NanaJeanFL asked:
This is just gorgeous! I love it! Both of your quilts have come out perfect! Great work. You've given me some inspiration in the sashing and border department.!
jfriel answered:
I got so excited once I finished the last block I started thinking about putting it together. I couldn't wait for the next class. I will be interested in how she will quilt each block, though.
Darns asked:
I so love this color combination! What a great idea you had to separate your blocks & make 2 quilts. (Still love your sailboat!)
jfriel answered:
Love the sailboat too
