Bento Box Quilt Top

Project Description

What was your inspiration? I'd seen quilts on the web in the design commonly referred to as Bento Box. I thought it would be an easy and quick design to make as a charity quilt to use up some of my brown scraps.

Q&A with AllThatPatchwor

barnyard9706 asked:
I love this quilt! Did you use pre-cuts?
AllThatPatchwor answered:
No, no precuts. Mostly scraps left from other projects. I didn't even have a pattern, but it was very easy to figure out. I used 3-inch wide strips to finish to 2.5 inches.
Wanna bee asked:
Do you sell your patterns? Are these your ideas and designs or do you use other people's?
AllThatPatchwor answered:
I've been considering selling my patterns for years, and on a few items have made notes as I go to assist me if I ever get around to it. But at age 73 and with still so many hundreds of ideas of things I want to do, I'll likely never get around to it. Some of the designs are original. Others, like the Bento Box, are variations of classic designs. If you did a search for Bento Box, for example, you could probably find dozens of patterns for it in various sizes.
