What are you most proud of? Some friends just bought their first house and I wanted to make a housewarming gift for this New-Agey, back-to-earth, young couple. So I pulled some beloved batiks I had been hoarding --- small amounts were in my stash and I didn't know what to do with them. I used Elizabeth Hartman's free tutorial (http://www.ohfransson.com/oh_fransson/2010/06/quilted-potholder-tutorial.html). Basically these were tiny little quilts, so it was great fun to use everything I had learned about larger quilts for these small, useful objects. What advice would you give someone starting this project? I made a practice one first with some less beloved fabrics just to try out the Insul-bright and determine how much batting to include. It's now put to good use in my kitchen.
