Batik Curves

Project Description

What are you most proud of? Selecting the right colors and patterns takes me a long time but I enjoy the process. I think the final colors look very good together and am proud of that! Also happy the border worked out fairly well - had to fix a couple of those corners!! What advice would you give someone starting this project? Enjoy it... also, I used a large piece of white felt to put the finished squares on and auditioned various combinations. I did this over a couple of days and took pictures which showed me things that should be changed. I think this process improved the quilt over time. If I were to do it again I would have some 1/2 moons - but for some reason I avoided them!

What you will need

  • Standard quilting supplies. I had all of these fabrics in my stash and when I saw this course I knew I would use batiks! This is modeled after one of the instructor's quilts and is about 28" square.
