Baby Who?

Project Description

What are you most proud of? I love how the owls in the background fabric kind of peek out from the applique blocks. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Knowledge of applique is helpful.

What you will need

  • Cotton quilting fabric
  • thread and batting

Q&A with Nana Jo 54

joyce L asked:
absolutely lovely!
Nana Jo 54 answered:
Thank you!
Marie Flannery asked:
Is this machine applique or by hand? I just love it - so cute!
Nana Jo 54 answered:
I used my sewing machine. I have arthritis in my fingers so I avoid hand sewing.
Karen Louise asked:
Cute and very close to what I am planning to make for my new grandson due next month. I have shopped locally and on line for little cute owl fabric to no avail. Can you tell me what the fabric is and any idea where I might find it. Also if I can purchase the pattern, I won't have to make my own which it what I planned to do.
Nana Jo 54 answered:
The fabric is a couple of years old now. I bought it through Epsy.com since I couldn't find a local shop selling it. I think the line was called "Give a Hoot". The pattern was also purchased online through Epsy. At the time it sounded like I got the last copy but that was also a couple of years ago and it could be out there again. Good luck!
jacqueline asked:
LOVE THE OWLS. WOULD LOVE TO GET THE PATTERN, YOU DID A BEAUTIFUL JOB. THANK YOU FOR SHARING.
Nana Jo 54 answered:
I'd try etsy for the pattern. I bought it years ago so I don't know if it is still available.
