Baby Quilt

Project Description

What are you most proud of? This was my first attempt at free motion quilting and I found it quite difficult. But I did it and so I would have to say I am proud that I stuck with it as the first time I sat down to try it I was sure my machine was broken. It does take practice. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Well I think that this is a little large for a baby quilt so I would maybe do 9 blocks instead of 12. Of course this size it could go with the child until they are five or six. I do not have all the quilting tools so if you had a rotary cutter and a mat I think life would be easier. I used a roofer's square to even up my blocks.

This is adorable, ! Great job for the first time on free motion quilting:) I agree to cut this down for a baby quilt, and you did this WITHOUT a rotary cutter or mat? Wow Kudos to you,, you are inspiring me to make this for my niece for her Baby Shower in September ;))

As of yesterday I have a rotary cutter and a small mat but they are so expensive I could not get a big one. this quilt was easy except for the free mothing quilting.and thank you so much for your kind words.
