Baby quilt for Olive

What are you most proud of? I was so happy to find lots of fabrics in my possession that I could marry together to create a beautiful quilt. My friend and her new granddaughter live in Canada so the quilt was machine quilted by yet another Canadian friend and hand delivered. Grand mom, who calls herself Yaya loved the quilt so much it stayed at her house. I hope she's sharing with little Olive. What advice would you give someone starting this project? I always audition my fabrics, trying to choose the best combinations. However, I never cut all of my pieces first. I make a few blocks and decide from there if I like the combination. Many times I change my mind and go back for something different to use. If I'd cut out all of the pieces first I would end up with a big scrap pile. My quilts often dictate which direction they'd like to go. Quilts talk you know!

Q&A with Betsy0

Damsel asked:
I love your color Choice! Nice!
Betsy0 answered:
Thanks, the best part was using scraps, leftovers and bargain fabric that's been sitting waiting for its "time in the sun."
