Q&A with Diane in Oregon

Cyndie asked:
Very pretty. How did you get the variety of colors? Did you make several blocks and mix and match? Very nice.
Diane in Oregon answered:
I had six different fabrics I wanted to use. I started with a 12-inch square of each fabric. After the first diagonal cut, I shuffled the triangles so that each side of the first white shashing strip was different. Then after the second diagonal cut, I shuffled the triangles again and continued mixing up the fabrics so I'd get a scrappy look.
oceandrag6316984 asked:
Love how this turned out but how did you manage the different colours? I watched the tutorial but all of triangles are the same colour. I can see just getting two colours for the fabric but wasn't sure how to get the others with cutting the white in half. It looks great with different colours!
Diane in Oregon answered:
Thank you for your interest in this quilt. I picked 6 pastel fabrics and cut (6) 6-inch squares of each fabric. Then I cut those squares in half diagonally. I pared up two different triangles and sewed the white strip between them along the long edge of the triangles. Hope this answers your question.
