Q&A with knitnkwilt

4bird2 asked:
SOOOOO cool. I think that when it is upside down, the design looks grounded and a bit heavy to me. When it is turned the other way, my eye floats throughout the design. What a great job on circles!
knitnkwilt answered:
Thanks 4Bird. Interesting that it canbe both empty (to me) and heavy (to you) The two seem incompatible, at least at first glacne.
8dove8 asked:
This is excellent...what a beautiful design statement...the visual element has a lot to do with this piece looking balanced in one direction but not the other...breaking the edge...color and value...shape and directional movement and visual weight...the natural tracking our eyes and brain take thru a design...and there is always personal preference...years of art school allow me to recognize all these design elements from a logical perspective...but first and foremost...I respond instinctively and intuitively to its beauty and color...it's balanced flow...what a great job...you make it look easy!!!
knitnkwilt answered:
Thanks for the left brain help and the right brain enthusiasm. :-)
Nrhaller9999 asked:
When your block looks empty to you , I think it's because your eyes don't have anything in the upper left corner with which to begin, so they have to hunt out a beginning place to start viewing the block. However, when you have it the other way, you give the audience a great starting point, and the reason it doesn't look empty in the bottom right is because your brain/eye knows the larger middle green circle is the end and your brain it happy with that. This is just my humble option of your question.
knitnkwilt answered:
Thanks for your observation. Gotta keep those brains happy. :-)
Anfirind asked:
Wow! I love this. It is just breath taking. I enjoy the cool on warm color chooses. The use of the circles with the lines. Well done. It reminds me of blowing bubbles out side.
knitnkwilt answered:
Thanks. I love the blowing bubbles image for it.
