April gone crazy!

Project Description

What are you most proud of? The little story this block tells. I overlapped some of the hexis and they came together nicely. I also used one of my leftover HST as a hexi for the flower pot. I'm planning on making it a wall hanging for my office as a reminder of this course instead of putting it into my BWR quilt. Guess I'll have to make another BWR hexi block ;-) What advice would you give someone starting this project? Trim your accent pieces (fence/fence top) after you add them. My block ended up being 12 1/4". Let yourself go and have fun!

What you will need

I love all of your blocks, but this one really makes me smile! Would you believe I have some of the same cat fat quarter fabric!? I have to figure our how to post photos of my blocks. Mine are also a black white and red theme. Keep up the good work!
NanaJeanFL answered:
Thanks for the compliment. I'm glad you like it. You can post photos a couple ways. One is the discussion just under the video player. Enter a "here's my block" in the question section and use the "add photo" button below that line. It will let you browse and click on your photo on your computer. Another way is to click Class Projects above the Video player, then click "Add a project". This gives you a fill in the blank thing for details. It also uploads a photo from your computer. Hope this helps!

Great kitty block! Now I want to do a red, black, white colorway or maybe aqua, black, white or maybe blue-green and purple batiks - what to do, what to do. Your blocks are great & it's going to be so striking whether as a quilt or wall hanging
NanaJeanFL answered:
Me too! I love the idea of mixing other colors with the Black & White... maybe hot pink? turquoise (like your aqua idea)? I'd love to try some batiks. I've seen so many I really like. What to do, what to do, indeed! Thanks for the lovely compliment.
