April Curved Fan Pattern

What are you most proud of? I sewed two 4" strips of fabric and cut the background (B) by centering the template to get the framed edge. I have never appliqued by machine so, in addition to learning a new quilt pattern I learned how to applique by machine. While there is room for improvement, I pleased with the completed project. What advice would you give someone starting this project? I recommend using embroidery thread for appliqued by machine projects. Using cotton thread could caused your thread to knot or bunch up.

Q&A with Suzy Mathews

Mynevere asked:
This is Lovely! I just purchased my 10-degree wedge & am happily looking through my stash for fabrics. It's wonderful to see a beautiful circle quilt!
Suzy Mathews answered:
Thank you Mynevere. This pattern was so much fun to do. It has inspired me to learn how to do other patterns. Happy sewing.
