Apple blossom fairy FMQ

Project Description

What are you most proud of? I really think it came out pretty good. I still need LOTS of practice traveling! What advice would you give someone starting this project? Practice, practice, practice. And then practice some more! Lol

What you will need

  • I bought a cute fairy panel
  • added a border and did free motion quilting to practice. I'm new to FMQ and didn't want to ruin a real quilt!

Q&A with Joanly

Karen Louise asked:
Very nice quilting job. I love the feathered wings.
Joanly answered:
Thanks! It was really fun working on it. I think I was much more relaxed because it wasn't a 'real' quilt so I could practice without worrying.
aussie quilter asked:
What a great idea, I can see it would be a lot less stressful than working on a pieced quilt. well done it looks beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
Joanly answered:
Thanks! I appreciate the support!
Amelianne asked:
That's a really good idea and you've done a great job - I think I will copy your idea.
Joanly answered:
Thanks! I ordered 4 more fairy panels all in different colors to continue practicing. Then I think I'm going too attach them all for one larger quilt. :)
