All Canadian Quilt

Project Description

What are you most proud of? I am happy with the way it turned out. Although you can't see it accurately, I created my own version of the Canadian Maple Leaf and then quilted them in multicolor threads in the centre of the quilt as well. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Get creative - when you can't find a pattern or something you like - make your own. I also love to use coloured threads as you can see.

What you will need

  • Cotton Material
  • batting
  • and multicoloured threads

Being a Canadian, I think this is super and the leaves in the center do look nice. I had to use a mag.glass, showed-up that way. This is pretty.
marianna2011 answered:
thank you - it was the best photo I could take - it actually turned out prettier than the picture and the recipient in Germany absolutely loved it!
Ladymax asked:
From another canadian, I think this is terrific. I have the fabric to make a Canadian quilt and this inspires me to get moving on it. thanks for sharing.
marianna2011 answered:
Thanks Ladymax - you can't see the quilted maple leafs in the centre very well but you could on the real deal. I used a variagated red, white thread that kind of flowed into the background.
