Afterlife

What are you most proud of? Getting the wheel and the red and yellow bias edges to all lie (mostly) flat! Also my first time using metallic quilting thread. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Accuracy is your friend! I've added a lot of scrap piecing and extra seaming, no biggie if you've got lots of piecing and quilting experience, but beginners would be wise to start with a much simpler version first, before incorporating additional piecing and trims.

Q&A with Venus de Hilo

lrmyr18 asked:
Impressive! Very nicely planned and executed.
Venus de Hilo answered:
Thanks! It was more "design as you go" than planned, but turned out better than I'd hoped, given the very random mix of fabrics from the scrap swap.
