Q&A with Cathy Geier

Cherine Fleyfel asked:
That is so beautiful..your Mom is so lucky. May I ask what kind of dye markers and crayons you use. Thank you, Cherine
Cathy Geier answered:
I used Uchida/Marvy fabric dye markers - I can get them at Ben Franklin. My favorite is their Brush Marker. The crayons are just kids Crayola. I used them to intensify and highlight that palm plant behind the vase. If you want, find my Page on facebook. There is a tutorial with pictures that I posted where you can see how to highlight/shade with dye markers. Here is link -
Cherine Fleyfel asked:
Thank you for the info on dye markers and the link. I'll see if I can find that brand here in Australia. I bought your book , so I can study it before I start. Have you ever been to Australia?
Cathy Geier answered:
Nope, but I'd sure love to come some day! Let me know if you have any questions about the book!
SewsYourMother asked:
By the way, you should be teaching here
Cathy Geier answered:
I'd love to!

Cutemom asked:
How can I star. Do you sale the patrons
Cathy Geier answered:
Hi Cutemom, you'll have to find my book Watercolor Landscape Quilts and learn the techniques starting with simple simple patterns. There is no pattern for this particular quilt though. I do have patterns for arches in the book. Thanks!
