4th of July quilt

Project Description

What are you most proud of? I started this on the day of the storm and when the power went out I still had the binding to sew on. I wanted to hang this for the 4th, so plugged my machine into one of the few outlets that were connected to the generator, and stitched the binding on. I worried about this, because most of our digital elctronic appliances were burned up when the lightning struck. so I did this quickly and then hand sewed it down. The unplugged my machine. What advice would you give someone starting this project? This is an easy project. The instructions call for making "3 D" stars, but I started this before reading all the way through the pattern, something I often do and shouldn't, so my stars are just regular applique. stitched down all around with a blanket stitch. But I like it this way too.
