What are you most proud of? The way the disparate elements all came together in a cohesive whole. It looks the way I imagined it: textural and appeals to several senses. And it sparkles! Most important: I learned several new to me techniques. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Be patient! This is not a quick and dirty immediate gratification project. It's hand appliqued, though better sewists than I will easily machine applique or fuse it. The beading is done by hand and takes time. The Flowers are a mix of machine + hand sewing with hand beading....plus tacking them on the piece, by hand.
