30"s Irish Chain

What are you most proud of? I am most proud of finally finishing this quilt! I started piecing it together over 5 years ago! I finally finished the top but never got around to quilting it.......! It is now finally finished & I hope it goes to a good home! It is truly a beautiful quilt! What advice would you give someone starting this project? Have fun picking out your fabrics! The more the merrier!!!!!

  • I used 100% cotton solids & reproduction prints from the 30"s era. I also used a poly/cotton blend batting.

Now that is my idea of a quilt! May I ask how small the square's are? Looks like a lot of them per block!

Thanks for the compliment! The little squares are 1 1/2" finished; I cut 2" strips of the 30's print fabric & sewed them together, then re-cut at 2"
