2013 BOM Template

Q&A with Laurie-CA

Enchante asked:
Laurie, Love your colors. It helps so much to see the placement with the quilt template in the background! I am doing a very mixed color pallet and wondered if you could explain how you over-layed your blocks on the template? It that possible? Just a general how-to? would love to do this for my blocks.
Laurie-CA answered:
Enchante, I wish is was computer savvy enough to explain how I did it. If you pull up the Intro packet materials list and open up that PDF, go to page 5 with is the line drawing of the quilt top and copy it, then I pasted that into my paint program and saved it. From there I made sure I had head on photos of my blocks upload to the computer. I cropped the photos of the blocks to the edge of the fabric. Then I used paint to open the photos one at a time, manipulated the size and copy and pasted it into the Quilt layout . I know there is someone on this forum with more tech acumen that could better explain it to everyone. Maybe post a question on the board and see if a someone can explain it clearly.
mom2pekes asked:
Was looking at the BOM selections and your fabrics were featured in one of the screens. When I looked at you selections they were so on-point for myself I opted to follow your progress. Wish I had signed up for the class now! I may yet after some more research. Congrats for having such great taste in your color layout.

Thanks mom2:) I have fallen behind a month.....April was busy for me. Plan to get the April block done so I can start on Mays. You should sign up, it's free and you can do it on your own time schedule.
