12 o'clock quilt

Project Description

What are you most proud of? Nice spring color even though the picture does not show the light yellow, peach pink, green and off white... still old cottage. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Be patient, it takes a while to complete, puzzle to put together.

What you will need

  • 12 fat quarters and more cotton material.

Q&A with Sylvie LC

Beth245 asked:
Just love what you have done here with the soft colours and the red as a contrast - what will you use as a backing fabric and how do you plan to quilt it? Would have taken quite a while to put all those squares together. Lucky person who gets this beautiful quilt.
Sylvie LC answered:
I am having trouble finding a back for it, I think I will use a gold tone, or green. I am not too happy with the last border, but the material was given to me by Project Linus where it will go to a child in need probably a teenager since the quilt is pretty large.
Beth245 asked:
Hi Sylvie, I think a gold tone backing would be nice for a teenage girl especially for a child in need - gold tones have a richness about them and just my feelings say something special. It is hard to do large quilts on our small machines so I hope you have a person with a long arm who will do it either free or a nominal amount? I love looking at different types of patterns so will look to see if I can find this book here in Australia. Thank you and good luck with getting the quilt together.
Sylvie LC answered:
Thank you Beth, I hope you'll find the book or maybe through Amazon.com, they should be able to ship it to you if not too expensive.
