"Shiny" Trick or Treat Bag

Project Description

What are you most proud of? That I actually did something with these 2 blocks that were so much fun to make. That I played with the stitching on pumpkin stem on the 1 block (the 2nd one I made) - wish I had done more on both, but I'm now inspired to do this on future projects. And just that I tried something new with putting it on the bag, using ribbon & making it a pretty fun quick project vs. thinking it "had" to be a quilt. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Have fun, do more decorative stitching & check out some of the cool patterns here at Craftsy - I got a cute monster one from Scrapendipity Designs that I'm going to put on a treat bag for my nephew this Halloween!*** OH!! & use a stabilizer!! I didn't :( ....& with the applique stitch around my cat & pumpkin the fabric pulled! No biggie since it's a fun project, but still, woulda been "purrr-dier " if I had! (... couldn't resist the pun)! :)
