Project

"Make Mine Pink, Darling!"

What are you most proud of? I made this as part of a monthly challenge for my fiber arts group. This month's challenge was "cocktails" so I decided to make this whimsical lady and added an arm and the drink glass! The finished portrait makes me smile. :-) What advice would you give someone starting this project? Let your creativity flow and you will have SO much fun!

Q&A with Ellyn143

Carol Ann Waugh asked:
Wow. Fabulous portrait! I want to meet you in person! Your arm & glass is a wonderful addition.
Ellyn143 answered:
Thank you, Carol! Just so you know, this is not a self portrait (I wish!) but simply a whimsical lady I dreamed up. I used the skills I learned in "Snazzy Stitched Portrait" to create this piece as part of a monthly challenge for my fiber arts group. This month's challenge was "cocktails" so that's why I decided to incorporate an arm and drink glass! I had SO much fun with this Craftsy class. Thanks for your great instructions!
marls asked:
I have never met you but you speak my language!! Love the glass in hand. Great work, be proud of this portrait.
Ellyn143 answered:
Thank you!
patz in suffolk asked:
I want to hang this one on MY wall! Your lady has so much character and whimsy that she made me laugh out loud when I first saw her! I can practically hear her voice (very upper-crust). She would brighten anybody's life. Well done!
Ellyn143 answered:
Thank you Patz! She certainly does lighten the mood hanging in my sewing room and makes me smile.
cambigdog asked:
