Pattern Details

Winter Fleur is a true collaboration by Barbara Douglas and Mary Warner-Stone. As traveling companions to Quilt Market, we have often brain-stormed our individual ideas, helping each other get past the dreaded 'quilter's block' (Pun intended - this is something like writer's block - where you just can't get past a design that isn't working). We work well at encouraging each other and give one another ideas that might make a design work better, or trigger our brains to think outside of the square. Winter Fleur was one such design. It began with Mary's basic outline shape with some additional components. She sent it on to Barbara who mulled it over for awhile and then added some tweaks such as the 4-point star in the center instead of an original square. The two-color simplicity of this elegant quilt was the result of this sharing of ideas and encouraging one another. Together, we hope the results of our creative collaboration also encourages you in your own creativity. Our apologies, but as of January 1, 2015 we are not able to sell digital patterns to the following EU countries because of the VAT law: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Republic of Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and the UK. Nor any other country with VAT tax.
