Hearts, the symbol of love, are strategically placed against simple piecing on this set of four table pieces: a table runner, a placemat, a mug rug, and a coaster. Mix and match, make individual items or multiples. These small seasonal quilts are sure to add a bright and colorful accent to all of your tabletops. They would also make delightful gifts. The pattern is equally suitable for 5" charm squares, 10" layer cakes, yardage, or scraps from your stash. Designed for a beginning quilter, the pattern is written with clear, step by step instructions and numerous photos. The piecing is simple, and the quickly fused applique is easy. The pattern contains cutting and piecing instructions, templates for applique, and instructions for making and attaching the applique hearts. There is also a tutorial for sewing bias binding on the coaster. Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have though email or on my Facebook page. When I retired from a lifetime of teaching in 2007, I was worried that I'd quickly get bored. That concern didn't last long at all. I was thrilled to discover that there really is life outside of the classroom. I spend parts of most of my days indulging in my favorite hobbies of quilting and sewing. I started designing patterns as an experiment, and no one was more surprised than I was to find that other people liked my little designs. I'm a teacher at heart, so I do try to write my patterns in such a way that beginning quilters can follow them. I include lots of details, photos, and little informative notes. I make myself easily available to my customers, and I respond to all questions as quickly and as thoroughly as I can. Contact Information: Blog:, Facebook Page:, Email:
