PATTERN DETAILS

We all know that flags are oblong but sometimes only a square block will do - especially for patchwork and quilting. This pattern contains all the instructions needed to make an easy square Union Jack block, in two sizes - perfect for cushions, mug rugs, pot holders and much, much more. Whether you are making a full-size quilt or a smaller project this pattern provides directions and sizes for both a 6" and a 12" square Union Jack block. But there is more - the pattern also includes instructions for turning twelve of the 6" blocks into a very striking table runner. The pattern, like all Patchsmith patterns, comes with easy-to-follow instructions and colour diagrams, helping you create a touch of British nostalgia for your home. The pattern is perfect if you wish to keep to the red, white and blue colour scheme whilst using up left-over fabric scraps and fat quarters. But you don't need to keep to the red, white and blue - grey, black and white also works well as does pink, red and white. So join with the Patchsmith today and turn the Union Jack into a multi-coloured quilt block for your project. This pattern is for personal use but permission is also granted to make this item to sell provided the item is handmade by you and you credit the Patchsmith for the design. No mass production allowed. SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS Size of finished blocks: 6" square and 12" square Size of finished table runner: 43" x 15"

I am the Patchsmith. I patch, applique, sew and quilt. I have been creating a life of fabric, fun and friends for many, many years. I believe a pattern should be easy to follow, with clear diagrams and full-size templates. Value is also very important to me - both in terms of fabric wastage and to the buyer. Patchwork is about sharing and that is why all my patterns are priced for everybody to afford.
