The sweet sounds of the violin fill the house with joy. I love the music of stringed instruments, especially when the music is made by my seventeen-year-old granddaughter. She has been playing the violin in her school orchestra for the past eight years. This mini quilt is her handmade Christmas gift from me. The mug rug whips up quickly with fusible web applique. Easy zigzag stitching around the applique pieces and a bit of embroidery here and there finish it off. Toss it on a desktop or table to adds color and remind someone of the beauty of music. The pattern contains full size templates for the for all applique pieces, a sketch of the layout, and a photocopy of the finished mug rug. Instructions are clear and are accompanied by photographs. Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have though email or on my Facebook page. When I retired from a lifetime of teaching in 2007, I was worried that I'd quickly get bored. That concern didn't last long at all. I was thrilled to discover that there really is life outside of the classroom. I spend parts of most of my days indulging in my favorite hobbies of quilting and sewing. I started designing patterns as an experiment, and no one was more surprised than I was to find that other people liked my little designs. I'm a teacher at heart, so I do try to write my patterns in such a way that beginning quilters can follow them. I include lots of details, photos, and little informative notes. I make myself easily available to my customers, and I respond to all questions as quickly and as thoroughly as I can. Contact Information: Blog:, Facebook Page:, Email:
