This impressive-looking block is a paper piecing pattern that makes a great wallhanging, or a medallion for a larger quilt. It's easier than it looks, and thanks to some clever assembly, no Y-seams are necessary! Basic paper piecing instructions are included. However, this is a relatively complex pattern and it's best to familiarize yourself with the technique before attempting this block. Page 12 of this pattern is legal-sized (8 1/2"x17" paper size). BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY Rotary cutting Sewing an accurate 1/4" seam Basic paper piecing knowledge is recommended, but not required Basting, quilting, and binding a quilt SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS 20-22" square (depending on the border width you choose!)
