Tessellation is the process of creating a two-dimensional plane using the repetition of a geometric shape with no overlaps and no gaps. It is like a puzzle. This pattern will show you how to make a quilt filled with arrows. It is great idea for using up lots of your colorful scraps. Missing arrows are my contribution to tessellation surface. The PDF Arrows paper pieced quilt pattern contains color version of the block plus black white version, numbered and ready for sewing. Just print it and start! BONUS - I have added instructions for assembling entire wall hanging quilt 24 inches square. Of course you can make any size you want. You can use this color schema or choose another you decide. I am Electronic Dipl. Ing. I have taught students in the university. The quilting is my love and passion. I have found patchwork around ten years ago reading a magazine. My first project was a table runner with one Marple leaf and mitered corners. You may say there is nothing special in this block. Imagine I have had scissors only and an old household sewing machine. No mat. No rotary cutter. I have not seen any video how to make it easier. I made the runner my way and began to read tips, techniques, tutorials. At the end of last year I won first quilt competition in my country with first prize Bernina sewing machine. Now with the power of Internet and social networks I have friends from all over the world. I was nominated by the Modern Quilt Guild for 100 days of Modern quilting in week of composition. I have explored many aspects of the patchwork and quilting. My patterns are easy to sew. The pictures look primitive, because I believe that children have to cultivate their imagination. There are plenty of fabrics with perfect prints on.
