On a blustery, cold January day I went quilt shop hopping across central Nebraska with friends. The bright, spring colors of the fabrics on display in one of the shops chased away all thoughts of winter. I knew that I had to make something from those fabrics so, with no plan at all of how I'd use them, I bought several pieces. A few days later I noticed that my family room could use some cheering up. A brightly colored table runner on my coffee table would be perfect and I had the just the right fabrics. I made two, of course. How could I resist? The mug rugs were just a bonus - a way to make sure nothing went to waste. Have fun with this project! Play with the arrangements of flowers and such. Let your imagination go and enjoy the process of making something your own. When you download this pattern, make sure to set your printer for 100% so it won't add margins and shrink the templates. When I retired from a lifetime of teaching in 2007, I was worried that I'd quickly get bored. That concern didn't last long at all. I was thrilled to discover that there really is life outside of the classroom. I spend parts of most of my days indulging in my favorite hobbies of quilting and sewing. I started designing patterns as an experiment, and no one was more surprised than I was to find that other people liked my little designs. I'm a teacher at heart, so I do try to write my patterns in such a way that beginning quilters can follow them. I include lots of details, photos, and little informative notes. I make myself easily available to my customers, and I respond to all questions as quickly and as thoroughly as I can. Contact Information: Blog:, Facebook Page:, Email:
