This sweet wool applique mini quilt is perfect for your spring and summer table. It works up quickly and is ideal for beginners -- using only basic embroidery stitches. "Spring Basket" features 4 different spring flower blooms and a cute little Carolina Wren songbird. The entire pattern is wool charm friendly. Hand dyed wool looks especially pleasing on this piece as it shows natural flower color variations. The quilt is finished with big stitch quilting that can be done on a machine or by hand. Only one machine seam is used and this can be replaced with a running stitch if a sewing machine is not available. I hope you enjoy this cute little table topper -- the wren is sure to make everyone smile! Note: Pattern indicates to cut 8 stems but 9 stems are required.
