Snow Crystals is a vintage block from the Kansas City Star (December 13, 1930). My quilt is 24" x 24" block with a 34" x 34" quilt finish. This would be fabulous in a multi-block quilt! It is a traditional pattern sewn in a nontraditional manner. There are NO set-in seams; it’s all straight seam sewing. With only two pattern shapes and foundation piecing patterns, this 24” block is a joy to sew. The four Lemoyne-type blocks give the illusion of a fifth block in the center because of the way the units are assembled. A true quilt of illusion! Must have some knowledge of paper piecing.
