This is a super fun quilt for kids! Diagonal zig-zags form steps for adorable embroidered animals to climb on. The quilt assembly is easy and suitable for a beginner - just rectangles sewn in straight lines! The embroidery is simply done in back stitch with a few French knots for eyes - totally doable even for someone new to embroidery. Two embroidery options are provided: one with different woodland critters (raccoon, squirrel, bear, fox, and more) and another with all cats. The embroidered animals are designed to "play" on the steps. They leap through the air, march up and down, and take little rests. The finished quilt measures 40 x 56 inches - a good crib size. Instructions for making the top, doing the embroidery, and quilting are provided. Basic how-to instructions for basting and binding are not. BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY Basic quilt making (basting, binding, piecing) Basic embroidery (back stitch, french knot) SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS 40 x 56"
