PATTERN DETAILS

You'll love this hands-free sewing wallet. Keep reading glasses, spare change, and small sewing tools handy for sewing while you're traveling or attending a class. Tuck your name badge or business card into the clear pocket on Side One for classes or retreats. Tuck change or a thimble and needle packet in the small zipped pocket. Side two is the perfect place to organize your travel documents. Or, for sewing class, use Side Two for your small sewing tools--needles, snippping scissors, little rotary ruler, sewing gauge-- you decide what you need to keep at your fingertips. Note: The revised pattern, posted on 4.9.13 has minor corrections to step 3 of Neck Strap and step 1 of Finishing. Thanks to the customer who pointed out a discrepancy. I am a published sewing and quilting author with several books and many magazine articles to my credit. My most recent book, How to Make a Quilt was published in August 2014 by Storey Publishing. I've written two other successful books for them-- The Quilting Answer Book and The Sewing Answer Book. I learned to sew from my great grandmother, two grandmothers, and my Mom when I was barely in grade school and I've been sewing ever since. I added quilting to my repertoire in the 1980s and worked for a major quilt book publisher as Managing Editor and then Editor-in-Chief for 5 years. Now I have my own business, designing quilts and tote bags and anything else that strikes my fancy. Go to www.joyofsewingandquilting.blogspot.com to see my projects and whatever else I'm up to. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you find something you'd like to make in my Craftsy store!
