This pattern features 3 different interlace designs for applique or hand embroidery. For the applique version, make your bias strips from three different fabrics that coordinate with the border fabric, pulling the colors from the multicolor print you've chosen. Detailed instructions are given for making sewn bias or fusible bias. If you're making the embroidered version, use the stem stitch, twilling stitch or other embroidery stitches to embroider the 3 blocks that will be set together with a pleated flange, lattice strips and border. Please click on the blog entry or news article link for the embroidered version supply list. Use traditional methods to make this tablerunner, plus learn about the innovative technique of Inklingo! Buy the Inklingo for San Kamon Collection and instead of tracing, print the three designs on fabric using your inkjet printer. The blog entry or news article link will take you to the San Kamon Gallery page, which has more sample pictures and a link to the Inklingo San Kamon Collection. See one of the designs done in Sashiko and another design done in crayon and embroidery!
