I always wanted to create a telephone box and a street light quilt pattern. My recent trip to Oxford, England brought that idea to the forefront. Red Telephone Box quilt pattern makes a 12 inch x 12 inch telephone box quilt block. I pieced the red grid on my telephone box. However, for easier piecing, I also included pattern sections without the grid. The grid can be added afterwards via a thick-width machine stitch. It can be made with many different fabric and colour combinations for completely different looks. I love stone buildings, so I made mine with Stonehenge fabrics. A fussy cut piece for the window would look fabulous. This could also be used to make a gift for a traveller. It is perfect for stand-alone projects such as a wall hanging, table runner, pillow or a bag. It can be just as easily incorporated into a larger quilt. The pattern for this paper pieced quilt block is made and tested by me. It is in color and clearly numbered. A diagram is also provided in the pattern. The finished block measures 12 inch x 12 inch. Basic instructions for paper piecing are not included in the pattern.
