Pattern Details

This tutorial contains 11 pages and printer-friendly. Quilters sewing bag is a good option to keep most of your quilting supplies all in one place when you go for the class or retreat. It is also handy in use when you keep it open near your sewing machine or on the side of your working place. Double side zipper with 2 pullers makes it more convenient to open from the center to both sides. 22" is enough to open it for use, but if you want to open it flat you might want a longer zipper, 30". Due to the construction of the pockets you can use the space under the pockets more efficiently! You can easily slide your 12"x6" ruler and small cutting mat under the pockets. It also makes the bottom of the bag sturdy. I provide my bag with a swivel hook/lobster clasp on the side, so you can attach 3 (or more) clear vinyl bags as additional pockets. You can stuff them with small and flat items like sewing needles, patterns and templates, pencils and marking tools. You can find them in my Quiltess.com store. These bags also keep the whole bag in nicer shape when it's packed. You can put vertically up to 6 large spools between the pockets. The size of the bag also allows you to carry your mini iron in this bag. When the bag is closed you can tuck the "ears" with zippered ends inside for a better look. If you add handles to this bag it will look just like a regular purse. The first version of this tutorial contained a lot of high definition pictures and was intended to be used as a digital tutorial on the monitor with a chance of zooming in and out pictures if needed. Now I resized the pictures in this version and made it printer-friendly now. The new version of this tutorial contains 11 pages vs 69. However, if you prefer working with digital version, please contact me and I will email you the original version.
