The Quilt Back Extender will add an extra 7 1/2" to your quilt back. You'll need one when your quilt is 58" wide and your backing fabric is only 60" wide. When the back is too small, there’s hardly anything for your clamps to grab onto, and the machine bangs onto the clamps and knocks your quilting off. Or when you’re working with rulers, the clamps bang on the ruler base. Instead of choosing to quilt with the clamps removed, pin on a Quilt Back Extender and keep those crucial edges taut. To Use: Lay the Extender with the open edge along the edge of your quilt back, with right sides together. Pin it in place about 1/4” from the edge. Fold it away from the quilt and hold it with your quilt frame clamps. Or let me make a set for you! Search for "Quilt Back Extender," by Quilted Sunshine on Etsy.com.
