This throw-size quilt was inspired by a design I saw on a matchbook that reminded me of the moon. A half-full moon is actually called a quarter moon, since we see it that way one quarter and three quarters through its monthly cycle. The quilt uses a single block that combines a half square triangle with a drunkard's path block. The quilt top is made of 48 blocks (6 blocks wide by 8 blocks tall) for a finished size of 48" x 64". The pattern can be easily adapted to a larger or smaller size by adding or removing blocks.
