Quilts add color to any space they occupy. So, I thought why not add a splash of color to our computer workstation. I like the idea of giving this mechanical mouse a cozy quilt to sit on as we do our work. There we can enjoy this mini quilt as we dream up new ideas or find more projects to add to our quilting list. This design may inspire you to plant a garden; for me it reminds me of those days when I actually did have fresh-grown garden peas. Hope you enjoy this design for whatever reason you'd want to make it. It's quick and easy. Several years ago I came up with this idea, and since Craftsy has such a great place for us to share our patterns, I am offering them now as PDF patterns. This PDF pattern has colored illustrations, clear instructions, and full-size templates for the applique pieces that have already been reversed for the fusible applique process. Use my fabric choices as your guide and have fun with this project. BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY You should already know how to use a sewing machine and some of the fancier stitches. Preferable, you would also have knowledge of fusible applique and cutting out fabrics using rotary cutting tools. If not, you can still learn by referring to quilting books that teach these methods. From the different applique techniques, I like this one the best; and it is the easiest to do. SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS Mini quilt - finished size: 9" x 7"
