Pattern Details

This quilt uses dresden fan blocks but adds an interesting 3-d effect in the center of the flower. Absolutely fun to make. Only 9 blocks make the whole quilt. The Dresden flowers have a 3D center to them that is so much fun to learn and make. The scalloped edge adds a delectable finish. This is needle turn appliqu, but there is not much of that to do. This quilt was made with "Lost and Found" Fabric designed and distributed by Riley Blake Designs and Jen Allyson for My Mind's Eye. The cover quilt was made by Marian Gallian BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY Easy needle turn applique and piecing (not suitable for fusible applique) SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS Finished Quilt 58" by 58", Finished Block 18" by 18"

I have a passion for quilting which sustains me through all life's joys and trials. My mom and my aunt both made beautiful quilts and they were my inspiration. I have studied under Jan Krenz, Margaret J. Miller, Claudia Clark Myers, Vicki Pignatelli, Laura Nownes, Jane Sassaman, Linda Taylor, Nancy Johnson-Srebro, Blanche Young, Evelyn Sloppy, Liz Porter, Jan Mullen, Ricky Tims, Pepper Cory, Vicki Pignatelli, Flavin Glover, Laura Wasilowski, and Libby Lehman to name a few. I graduated from the University of San Francisco with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration in 1969 and received my CPA certificate in 1972. I have a strong foundation in math which I think is why quilting is so pleasing to me. I am proud to be a Grandmother and have 7 children and over 20 grandchildren. All have quilts made by Grandma.
