PATTERN DETAILS

Oh, dear! There's a ducky all alone in the tub and the water is overflowing! Now isn't that "just ducky"? Why is the duck alone? More importantly, who's going to clean up this mess? Any five-year-old could come up with a great story based on this picture. This fun little mug rug will appeal to children, their moms, and their grandmothers, too. It's the perfect size to hold a mug and a snack for a grownup or for a child's after school milk and cookies. But there is no reason that a mug rug has to be designated to sit atop a table. This one would go just as nicely on a countertop by the sink or hanging on the wall in a bathroom. The pattern contains four pages of detailed instructions with photos, as well as full size templates for applique pieces and a full size layout plan. When I retired from a lifetime of teaching in 2007, I was worried that I'd quickly get bored. That concern didn't last long at all. I was thrilled to discover that there really is life outside of the classroom. I spend parts of most of my days indulging in my favorite hobbies of quilting and sewing. I started designing patterns as an experiment, and no one was more surprised than I was to find that other people liked my little designs. I'm a teacher at heart, so I do try to write my patterns in such a way that beginning quilters can follow them. I include lots of details, photos, and little informative notes. I make myself easily available to my customers, and I respond to all questions as quickly and as thoroughly as I can.
